Stayed before and was really impressed so booked again this year -1st room was up in the top level bit of a trek but the room was immaculate and the refreshment tray well stocked -this time we had a different room -more accessible to downstairs but the small steps just inside the door would be a problem for some although great as an alternative place to sit -there is 1 stool in the room . The room was well heated so much we had to open the window when we arrived-if only to get rid of the sweaty smell which we found was probably due to the grease marks on the headboard where many heads had rested. No amount of deo spraying could quite eliminate it - ( think it could do with a good clean and the duvet /pillows too) The bathroom had well appointed shelves/ledges which were very handy but the shower really needed a good clean with black mould in many places-the radiator opposite the toilet needed a wipe over and on I really didn't want to investigate what was on the wall tile under the toilet roll . Just a bit disappointing compared to previous visit . Breakfast had a good choice of items and the dining room is well set out .The place is well situated for travelling up and down the coast or for the beach just round the corner .

This is a delightful pub with very good accomodation. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was excellent (the eggs benedict were cooked perfectly) and the bedroom was comfortable with a lovely bath (for my wife) and all round a very good choice at a very fair price. We liked the design features around the hotel, which indicated that someone has a good eye for those little items. For instance, our bedroom had a mirror in the shape of a ship's porthole and a large picture of a lighthouse on one wall. We mentioned this to the staff, who told us that the owner is planning a re-design of all of the rooms. The bar are had plenty of seats and a cozy atmosphere. Although not the right time of year, the garden area had a wonderful selection of climbing equipment for children - again, a very thoughtful touch. And the sea was a 5 minute walk away - what more could you ask, although early January was not the time to go bathing !. We look forward to coming back again and would highly recommend the White Horse to anyone who wishes to stay in that area of north Norfolk.

Nicely decorated bar area, Choice of beer in bar was exceptional - Craft Ales, Lager and Stout. Evening meal food was of a good standard and lots of choice. The cooked breakfast was excellent and was all good quality products and cooked and presented to a high standard. The staff were friendly and helpful especially the younger staff who were willing to offer some local advice and recommendations. The location was quiet with easy access to beach and Cromer. The room was comfortable and spacious. Good value for money overall. Dog Friendly rooms at no extra cost.

This is a lovely Edwardian pub up the hill, well away from the cliff edge that's slowly eating the village over time (another big Edwardian pub disappeared just after WW2). It's nicely decorated, spacious, and the lovely room i had up in the attic had views of the sun setting over the village and of the very unusual Edwin Lutyens church opposite. We had dinner and breakfast at the pub and both were delicious. They happily took our bikes inside and stowed them in an unused ground floor reception room. Staff were lovely!

Very pleased with our stay at The White Horse Hotel in Overstrand. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, we had dinner that evening which was very good; the restaurant was spotlessly clean and the staff were extremely efficient. After dinner we had a stroll around the village and thought what a peaceful and relaxing spot it is. In the morning we had a light breakfast as we didn't think we could manage the full English, which looked superb, but what we had was very good.
